Frequently Asked Questions
We accept English language children’s books suitable for children aged 0 to 16 years old (sorry that we are not able to take books for adults). We ask that books donated be without:
Excessive mold or stains
Ripped or missing pages
Broken bindings
Writing or highlighting in the text
Please feel free to send us a photo of your books if you're unsure if your books will meet our book donation guidelines.
You can donate by doing any of the options:
Option 1: You may drop off your books at:
reBooked Shop 1/F, No. 9 Mee Lun Street Central Open every day, from 12nn to 6pm
Option 2: You may schedule free pick-up for donations of over 100 books. We will arrange a man with a van to collect the books directly from your home (free collection service).
Step 1: Please recheck the titles and condition of your books before placing them in a box/ recyclable bag. We do not accept books that are in poor condition:
Old, brown and spotted
Dog ears, jottings, markings, drawings, watermarks, markings and highlighted pages
Used workbooks or textbooks
Photocopied notes and books
Strange odour
Books with controversial content
Books that are not for kids aged 0 to 16 years old

We will send you a confirmation email to inform you of the collection date and time.
We bring all donated books to our sorting facility where our book reviewers carefully determine which books can be sold, donated, or recycled.
For every donation of a full-sized, good condition (or better) book picked up directly from a location of your choice, you will receive a HK$1 store credit which can be used to purchase books in our online bookshop or retail store. If the book is dropped off at the store, you will receive a HK$2 store credit.
If the donation is collected from you, we will notify you of your credits after sorting the books in your donation. If the donation is brought to the store, we are able to notify you of your credits in person and on the spot.
You can purchase the books online. Once you have successfully placed an order, you will receive a confirmation email of your purchase.
You can also purchase books at the reBooked bookstore, which is located in 1/F, 9 Mee Lun Street, Central, Hong Kong. Our store is open from 12nn to 6pm daily.
Please note that our book inventory is different online vs. bookstore.
We review the condition of each book to ensure it is readable and resalable. Book conditions include:
"New" - Brand new copy or the quality you would find (and buy) in a bookstore
"Like New" - Very well-cared-for books
"Very Good"- Well-cared-for books with slight signs of use on cover or pages
"Good" - Signs of use and/ discoloration of page edges.

We apologize that we are unable to accommodate returns, refunds, and exchanges of any purchased books. If you are not satisfied with any of the books purchased from us, please get in touch with us right away at hello@rebooked-hk.com.
For online purchases, we currently have the following payment options:

HSBC transfer (our bank account information will be sent upon order confirmation)
FPS (Please use email: hello@rebooked-hk.com)
For in-store purchases, we accept Cash.
Through SF Express, we are able to ship to Hong Kong, Macau and China.
You have 3 options:
Hong Kong Post (charges calculated upon check-out)
SF Express (postage charges to be borne by customer and payable upon delivery)
Collect at reBooked shop at 1/F, No.9 Mee Lun Street (no additional cost)
Depending on the weight of the books, the delivery fee changes. Generally speaking, SF Express is more cost-efficient for larger, heavier packages. Additionally, SF Express has the added benefit of package tracking.
Depending on the shipment option you have selected:
Hong Kong Post - about 3 to 4 working days
SF Express - about 2 to 3 working days
Collect at reBooked shop - 24 hours after purchase online
